Danby Products Limited, in cooperation with U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has announced a voluntary recall of certain freestanding and slide-in electric and gas ranges. The recall is due to a risk that ranges with an improperly installed anti-tip bracket could tip over if a very heavy weight is placed on an open oven door. No injuries or incidents have been reported. Our records indicate that you may have purchased one of the recalled ranges. As part of our commitment to product safety, Danby Products Limited is offering to provide a free in-home inspection of affected units. Please read this notice carefully.

Danby Products Limited sold the models in question between May 1, 2021, and October 28, 2021. Only certain freestanding ranges with the attached model numbers and serial number ranges are affected. The information below will assist you in locating your range’s model and serial number location, which varies by model.

To determine if your range is affected and schedule a free in-home inspection, visit our recall website anytime at https://approzo-dev.danby.com/en-us/support/product-recalls/ call the Recall Hotline toll free at 1-877-246-2296 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Consumers should not return recalled units to the store where they purchased as retailers are not prepared to take the units back.

Danby Products Limited is conducting this voluntary recall in cooperation with CPSC, which will also monitor the effectiveness of the recall.
